Greetings...and Well Met!
It has been quite a while since there was anything reported to you here. Therefore here are some words as to where THOT is these days. I will make it clear that this submission will not be concise but broad. Yet, it will suffice I believe.

Now then...
Rorn was NOT lying when he spoke of helping THOT destroy Szass Tam. The location of the Primordial Elixir was found by this. I will mention that Ace died in the recovery of the Elixir that was NOT a liquid to imbibe but a focus by which power could be drawn. Oh, yes, Ace was returned to life. Zoltesh has more to humiliate him with now.
But I'm getting ahead of myself here...
In Cormyr things are all a dither. The King is stepping down and asking Gridlock to favor the Crown. There is not a great deal here to report other than the Prince was not opted. It seems that the Obarskyr family was taking leave and in somewhat of a hurry. Because of THOTs major victories with the elves in recent, they have favored Gridlock and the Hand of Tyr. His receiving the Crown would not come to be a difficulty in an way.
There was a great battle and Szass Tam was defeated!
Upon the death of Szass Tam in the streets of Suzail (It was a mighty victory for THOT) there is now, where SzT was destroyed, a 5 foot black circle of pure evil taint in the street near the center of the city. Gridlock has taken action to make this area secure and not available to anyone. SzT has left his mark. Hmmmmm...
Yes there are things amuck here and there in Cormyr. The Guilds are thick with liars and worse. The City Guard and the Military are disorganized and moral is a bit low. The leadership in place are in disagreement as to what must change and stay the same. THOT is meeting with theses leaders.
The date now is Hammer 7, 1480. The Place is Suzail, the Capital of Cormyr.
There is a tangle of intrigue in the Merchants Guild. Gul the Grim has been called by Gridlock to take over the IMPRISONED guild-master! What a chain of events! I will say here that it is best to allow the Thieves Guild some room within reason. The TG keeps outsiders in check(so we hope). The TG backed down from a confrontation with THOT in regards to this former guild master as his daughter. Oh, what a tale!
So about Gul the Grim:

| Gul of Tyr |
"Your father saved my life twice" he said. Gul then got down on one knee in front of Grid and pledged his loyalty. Gul has 50 fighting ships. He is good at espionage/spies.
On Marpenoth 21, THOT was on their way to Daerlon, Sembia aboard one of Guls ships. Gul The Grim says to Gridlock "Just remember me and I will do as you ask. Remember me when you're a great king," Grid says "I will" (And true of his word, Gridlock did just that!) Since that time Gul has renounced his treacherous ways and has become a priest of Tyr. He is now Gul of Tyr
THOT has defeated great evil undead, evil gods, acquired great libraries, nations, abundant wealth and now a Kingdom. Can they rescue the faltering nation of Cormy itself? Will they save this beacon of what is civilization in Toril? What will the dawn bring next for the just and Courageous Hand of TYR?

...So tune in next week, same Tyr time, same Tyr channel...
ReplyDeleteGreat pic of Gul
Thanks Aramis! I like the pic too.
ReplyDeleteBTW: The dialogue from Gul was taken from actual play notes from December to January of 2012.
I still need to know! What did Zoltesh do?
